Destash, Industrial decay

Concrete countertops... I totally Want One...  I was wandering on an ocean of internet pictures about them thinking in having one made for our kitchen -considering we have a school of workers fixing things at home like that fishes that swim along all turning at the same time following the undersea currents- and found amazing Industrial contemporary work in concrete like the coffee table in the pic, of course what my brain said when I saw this? Yeah, "oh, so cool!" and OMG, I need to try this in Jewelry!!! I love the rustic feel of this, the brutal force, the fire in the lack of respect for shine an glow and molded  premade world!

So, this is how me and concrete started this short love affair. Can I pour concrete into forms and create something as primal? What concrete can do, what it is, how it works...? Of course, my prototypes are in copper so, you will see several elements made with it from faces to hollow forms filled like this focal but who knows, maybe next trial would be silver and gold, the "real gold leaf/sheet" used for Keum Boo and... wow, Am I going too fast? ;)

Ok, let's go back to our subject, Industrial Decay; solid copper and concrete, I imagine it could go well with everything, chain, leather, beads...

In this batch you will find a "transformers" necklace that can be a bracelet, earrings supplies, etc. with this same material and born from this idea.

It measures total 74 x 66 x 12mm approx.
