Destash- small bracelet focal
This small bracelet focal has river stones and a natural pearl set in solid copper in a postapo distressed look. I really enjoy the contrasts in between something that has the reputation of being "refined" like pearls with other elements considered more common but not because of that less beautiful or meaningless.
My passion for river stones is not new and it has a personal feel to me, not just their color, the softness of the surfaces but also how a hard, strong rock like basaltic ones or granite can be shaped and polished by time and journey just as we humans do -sometimes-. Some rocks break, become sand, disappear, others hidden never change, never evolve, stagnant collect mold until the decay wins and they are finished in a pile of contaminated dust... but others, the resilient, show with pride the passing of time on their roundish edges, the integrity of their core, all the lessons learned. I love that, I respect that... and it is my idea of real beauty, things that endure and survive, learn, grow and become more beautiful.
This focal can be used with all the materials you can imagine, it is strong and can be added patinas, just a leather cord could make it complete and as a plus, it could be used as connector for a cascade focal or as part of a larger composition.
It measures approx. 54 x 20mm
