This days with schools of workers doing home repairs wandering like ants before a storm allowed me to seek refuge in the most magical part of the world -to me-, the studio.
I collect all sort of materials and elements, the studio holds some amazing things, some humble, some rare, most of them unique in one way or another and on occasion old elements appear among the treasures to have their chance to be transformed. 
This old and Very hard to find turtle bones are just wondrous to me, their natural shape, the textures, the meaning -they are from an American Indian reservation- are inspiring and I use them with pyrography, carving, shaping, even when I get full of dust covering it all, even the conquest's smile. 
In this case I preserved the shapes, added a small almost shibuichi form made pouring molten metal -brass and fine silver- on a live stone capturing it forever where the "bail is, a small perforation where to thread to add shells, bones, beads or what your imagination whispers... and tied with fine silver after using fire to add splashes of color here and there until it became this aboriginal, primitive and primal element, a large focal for what can be an epic jewelry piece.
